Vergil Ortiz Jr returns to action tonight in the first major boxing show of 2024, facing Fredrick Lawson in a 12-round main event from Las Vegas.
Ortiz, 25, hasn’t fought since Aug. 2022 due to various health issues outside the ring, and is moving up to the 154 lb division for this fight. The show also features an interim WBA title bout at 140, plus returns for Arnold Barboza Jr and prospect Raul Curiel. Barboza is making his Golden Boy debut.
