Texas Tech, the first-round leader at 13-under par, added an 11-under 273 for the second 18 holes on a cool and overcast day in La Quinta, California, at the Norman Course at PGA West. The 36-hole total of 24 under puts Texas Tech at 544, 10 shots ahead of Kansas. The Jayhawks were 8 under for Tuesday’s round.
Duke is alone in third at 11-under 557, 13 shots behind Texas Tech entering the final round Wednesday. Play will begin at 6:45 a.m. on the first and 10th tees, with the leading teams teeing off starting at 11 a.m.

In the individual competition at the Norman Course, Cecil Belisle of Kansas took the lead with a 5-under 66 for a two-day total of 9-under 133. Three golfers, Ethan Evans of Duke, Petr Hruby of Washington and Connor Jones of Colorado State, are tied for second at 134. All three of the second-place golfers shot 68 on Tuesday.
Baard Skogen led Texas Tech in the 5-count-4 format Tuesday, with his 65 including seven birdies in a 10-hole stretch. Calum Scott shot 68, Matthew Comegys shot 69, and first-round individual leader Tyran Snyders shot 71.
In a separate 60-player individual tournament being played at Terra Lago Golf Resort in Indio, Charlie DeLong of Texas Tech took the 36-hole lead at 6-under 138, including a 68 in the second round. Josiah Gilbert of Auburn and Dean Grayserman of Stanford are one shot back at 139. Both Gilbert and Grayserman shot 68 on Tuesday.
